We worked with the MyRoll Team to develop a fully responsive e-commerce solution that represented MyRoll not only as a trusted brand but also as an experience in the pet wellness industry.
After thoroughly assessing, communicating, building and testing, we were proud to deliver a custom, fresh and mobile-friendly website for MyRoll on time and on budget.
Discovery
We were approached by MYROLL, a manufacturer and marketer of Hemp derived CBD products to redesign and improve their e-commerce website and subsequently increase revenue.
They had a solid B2B business with established retail customers and a healthy repeat business.
However, they also wanted to benefit from the important DTC business in that vertical. They had an existing e-commerce website with significant challenges resulting in low traffic and little sales.
During the discovery phase, we interviewed key stakeholders and conducted a complete audit of their current site to outline several goals for the redesign. The site was described as outdated, boring, and un-engaging. The site was not user friendly, the navigation was confusing, and the design was not appealing.
Goals
Our overall goal was to redesign their website to reflect the best of their brand and ensure that it is performance optimized for e-commerce as well as responsive to ensure the experience is consistent and uniform. This would have all sorts of benefits including:
– Increase traffic to the website
– Increase conversion
– Reduce average bounce rate and increase engagement with visitors through stronger content strategy and engaging inter-site navigation thus increasing the average number of pages viewed per session and ultimately increase average time on page per user
– Generate Awareness about MYROLL being a leader and an expert and partner in the Hemp derived Pet CBD industry
– Educate the community about CBD via Blog and downloadable resources
– Build an email database of customers and leads via capture forms
– Engage our visitors by following us on social media channels such as, Instagram and Facebook
– Improve SEO performance by developing a more SEO friendly, informative and socially-focused blog as well as keyword driven and engaging content thus driving user engagement and organic searches.
Challenges
We have identified a number of weak areas in MYROLL’s current website that are choking traffic and ultimately conversion rates. These included:
– Overall site design is rather antiquated and too “busy” with an information-overload on the home page which ultimately makes it slow to load.
– The site is cluttered and hard to navigate and neither intuitive nor user-friendly.
– It is rather static and misses a WOW factor to engage with the target audience and therefore bounce rate is very high.
– The website had very old and outdated design layout for product detail pages with static information. It is not performance optimized with no clear CTA.
– No social proof or RTB (Reason to Belief) i.e. No testimonials leading to low trust among customers
– Customers were facing difficulties to find the proper information regarding particular products as the information was scattered at different positions on the pages based on the product type.
Solution
Search engines love fresh and user-friendly content so we setup a blog and maintained the balance effectively between quality and frequency.
We suggested to completely change the website design and layout according to current trends regarding UI/UX and SEO as well as mobile responsiveness to allow for higher traffic and a better user experience.
We worked diligently with MYROLL to create a strong eCommerce experience for their customers, so they could easily browse or purchase any of MYROLL products online.
We designed a user-centric experience that highlighted their extensive CBD expertise, as well as provide them with an area to add news and other resources.
To show off the incredible results of their product, we developed an interactive sliding image section above the fold on the homepage to showcase their product being used by the target in a lifestyle environment.
We incorporated a rotating carousel of customer testimonials to build trust and give website visitors a better idea of how others have used the product to enhance theirs and their pet’s life.
In regards to SEO, we optimized all the pages through keyword research and meta-data creation. As a part of on page optimization, we performed a content audit and suggested recommendations to improve the SEO effectiveness of the existing content on the website. Regarding off-page SEO activities, we created a PR and media planning strategy to acquire important backlinks.
Results
Redesigning MYROLL’s website has helped them position themselves as a competitor in the Pet CBD Market. After thorough research, design and web development we produced a custom e-Commerce website they have full control over and can grow with.
Due to Digital Marketing techniques such as Keyword Optimization, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), as well as Content Marketing with SEO in mind, MyRoll has tripled their unique visitors in the first two months, decreased bounce rate by 30% and consequently increased conversion by 150%.
